How to Choose the Right Size
Finding your match in the hoodie size chart is easier than you think. Follow these steps and you'll be set.
1. Take Your Measurements
You'll need three numbers: chest, length, and sleeve length. Grab a soft measuring tape and a friend or a mirror.
- Chest: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it horizontal. Let your arms rest at your sides. This is your chest circumference.
- Length: Measure from the top of your shoulder (where the shoulder seam would sit) down to where you want the hem to fall - typically at your hip or just below.
- Sleeve: Start at the same shoulder point, go down the outside of your arm to your wrist bone. Keep your arm slightly bent.
2. Compare to the Size Chart
The The OA Premium Hoodie uses standard unisex sizing. Here's the typical chart (in inches):
| Size | Chest | Length | Sleeve |
| S | 36-38 | 27 | 32 |
| M | 39-41 | 28 | 33 |
| L | 42-44 | 29 | 34 |
| XL | 45-47 | 30 | 35 |
| XXL | 48-50 | 31 | 36 |
Note: These are approximate. Always check the specific size chart on the product page before ordering.
If your chest measurement falls between sizes, consider your preferred fit. Want a snug, athletic fit? Go with the smaller size. Prefer a bit of room for layering or that classic oversized look? Size up.
3. Account for Fabric and Shrinkage
The hoodie is made from 320gsm heavyweight fleece (80% cotton, 20% polyester) with a brushed interior for that cozy feel. Heavyweight cotton fleece can shrink a bit in the wash - especially in length and sleeve length - if you use hot water or a hot dryer. To minimize shrinkage, always wash in cold water and tumble dry on low. If you're between sizes, we recommend going up to accommodate any potential shrinkage and to maintain that comfortable fit.
4. Consider How You'll Wear It
The OA hoodie is designed for a street-ready look. The front features a bold The OA logo, and the back showcases a subtle constellation pattern inspired by the show's themes. It's made to be worn as a statement piece. If you plan to layer it over a t-shirt or hoodie, your usual size should work. If you'll be wearing a thick flannel or sweater underneath, size up for comfort.
5. Real Fan Feedback
Many fans in the community recommend sizing up if you prefer a looser fit. As one fan put it, "I'm usually a Medium in other hoodies, but I went with Large and it's perfect - not too baggy, but plenty of room." Others who like a fitted look say true to size works well.
